Another shot from Tanji beach, much to our surprise it was cloudy when we arrived and I had the camera set to ISO 800, the photo opportunities were all around us and I did not really notice the light levels improving otherwise I would have been on ISO 400.
The whites on the belly are fairly bright but not blown, having posted it and looked at the image with a darke"skin" i.e. frame I am wondering if they appear a tad bright.
    All comments welcome.

Yes, you could have tradet the high speed for lower ISO, but the shot looks great so not much to worry about, Jonathan.
It also happens to me especially when I shoot BIF and then there is a static shoot opportunity and I leave everything the way it was.

    JON:

On my monitor, the belly looks fine, perhaps a little loss of detail at the wing root however.

From a comp standpoint, for my tastes, moving him a sliver to the left in the frame might be interesting, but very close as is.

Good angle in frame, wing up pose.

    Cheers

Neat pose. Whites on the flanks look very bright from here. Yes to back in the frame. Neat pose and wing positions. Heavy molt adds interest. I'd sharpen the face a bit with a 15/65/0 or so contrast mask.

Whites do look a bit bright from here. I like the comp as is. A very nice wing position despite in molt, and a smooth BG.
