This shorebird photo I am very fond of. On Saturday I go to this place. It's maybe the best place for shorebirds. Hope that there may be some pictures. It is located on the southwest coast of Norway.

An unusual comp with all the negative space on the right. I think I like it. I might take a smige off the bottom and right and would consider a square comp as well.
What I really like is the color of the water. The direct gaze is very engaging.
I would also do another round of NR on the BG ( or it could be some JPEG artifacting)

Different and pretty cool pose on the bird. The IQ on the bird looks good. I may be tempted to lighten up the head a tad. I also like the BG. Crop is unusual...I would definitely take something off the bottom.

Geir, I love the pose and your use of the negative space on the right in this image. I agree with others that a bit of the blur on the bottom could be evicted.

I like everything about this. Moody, unusual comp and beautiful IQ and color.

I like the IQ on the subject as well. It looks a little dark on my monitor but it might be just that....my monitor :)

I like the unique straight-down -the-barrel preening pose. The midtones do seem a tad dark, and I see some noise on the plumage. What are your camera settings?
