What a lovely image, Karl. Love the direction of the lighting as it gives the image such nice dimension. There is an area back by the tail that looks a bit blotchy. However I'm on my work monitor so can't say for sure.
Hi Karl,
I think you got as many nice pictures around the visitors center as you did on the ponds. It is nice to see the different birds at Bosque.
The sparrow is a perfect size for the crop.
I would burn the brights in the foliage and agree with Grace about the smudges near the tail.
Lovely eye and good IQ and light,
Gail
The bird and BG look very nice. I like the crop. Something keeps drawing my eye to the belly area and the branch just below the belly...not exactly sure if its just the brighter branch or something done in PP. Not a big deal...overall very nice image!
Great shot!!
I really like the background, great pose and perch.
Well done.
Thanks Gail. I blew it up to 400 percent and I did not see anything around the tail. I did do some cloning at around the tail as the green vegi was almost touching the tail. However, I cannot fix something I don't see, sorry.
About burning the green I don't see how I can do it since it would effect the background as well.
This is one of the few incidents when it is beyond my PP knowledge to be able to do it.
I like this image and appreciate including the habitat in it as well. I would be careful with the burning of the foliage as this particular bush is a light/bright green and it would look unnatural to me.
I do see the green/light by the belly but I suspect that is a BG bush that is lined up along it.
Beautiful bird and perch, sweet BG. I do wish the BG OOF vegetation was not there, and there is definitely an easy to fix smudge of sorts on the BG touching the tail tip (scroll the image up and down about an inch at a time and it should be easier to see).
Great shot of this sparrow. I like the pose, the natural perch, and the comp. I'm also seeing the smudge but probably wouldn't have noticed it except for the sharp eyes of Grace and Gail. I might imagine the bird (but not the perch) going just a bit brighter.
I like the pose, perch, sharpness and BG. I see the area near the tail as well. Nice image Karl!
