    Frank:

Nice pose from your Teal. Well exposed, although I wish there was a bit more light on the face/eye area.

The water has a lot of bright highlights which do compete with the bird for the viewers attention. Might try to tone down the luminosity of the water a bit.

Cheers and Happy Holidays to you as well.. Please be sure to post your camera/lens and post processing details with each image. It really helps us critique them better.

Frank, very nice image. I really like the details in the feathers and the little bit of reflection in the water. I agree with Randy, the eye and face are a little dark.

Hey Frank, Season's Greetings to you too!

Looks like you had a beautiful drake to photograph...perfect breeding plumage! Neat pose...was this just before a wing flap? The details on the flanks are quite nice...but it looks like that is where critical focus was locked on as the face looks soft compared to that.

Agree with Daniel on the focus not being on the duck's face. That said, I find the duck against this background quite artistic and unique.
