    Default Flying pair

NOT the artistic shot Doug got but I was experimenting with trying to get flying groups all in focus.
    5D III, 500 F4, ISO 800 Nik processing.
Had to fight a magenta cast but that was partly due to the brown background. Tried to warm the background but not sure I was successful.
Comments appreciated but most of all Happy Holidays to everyone. Its times like this I realize how truly blessed I am and hope all of you feel the same way.

It's great to get more than one in focus, it's always a challange. Well done, Stan.

Hi Stan, I am in the truly blessed boat with you. Above, you succeeded in your goal to get the two cranes in focus (BTW, what was the aperture?),and the image is sharp, but it has many flaws both major and minor:

1: The birds are too high in the frame.
2: With all the empty water at the bottom the composition is unbalanced.
3: The wing positions are less than ideal. With the birds relatively parallel to your position either wings full up or wings full down (or one of each!) would have been much better.
4: the head of the lower bird intersects with its far wing.

the light is sweet and it's great that you got both pin sharp, I wish the wings were in up or down position here.

happy holidays to you as well
