    Default Bittern harassed by Herring Gull

    My firs sighting of a Bittern, & was fortunate enough to get it in-flight



    Canon 7D
    Canon 400mm 5.6
    f/6.3, (1/1600)
    ISO 400
    WB - Auto
    Manual Exposure

    Joe, that is super action captured. Really good job on that. I like your exposure and sharpness. Have you cropped this at all? If not, I might consdier a tighter presentation which would focus in more on the action.

    Spectacular timing and behavior. EXP looks good. Having both birds angled away from us is less than ideal. This looks like a big crop to me as image quality is somewhat suspect.
