Same to you and your family John, a great shot to express those thoughts too mate. Great job with two Finches together ...sweet as ! and the pincushion flower makes it look Christmassy as well.
It got to 42 deg today and a strong searing hot wind, even the birds this morning went awol.....spent the afternoon at the movies instead

John, I always enjoy seeing your images. Keep them coming. So much green and red in this image seems so appropriate as we approach Christmas. I especially love the feather colors and detail on the right-most finch. We have 21 degrees at noon, with lots of snow on the ground, and a predicted low of zero Fahrenheit Christmas evening, so we're going to have a very white Christmas (and New Years!). Merry Christmas to you and yours. Would love to make it down to your part of the world some day!
