Royal Terns, taken just before sunset on Bowman's Beach, Sanibel last month. I really hated to crop out the LH bird's tail, but another tern overlapped him, more than just a little repair could handle. On the bright side, it helped to concentrate the attention on the two birds' heads. Cloned out a few other oof terns. C&C appreciated as always.

Bill this is a wonderful capture! The light and tones are just right, and the interaction between the two is priceless.

If you have another tern image tail, and aren't opposed to it, you may be able to layer a new tail in. It might be more trouble than it's worth - just a thought. Either way, you did a great job of concentrating my attention on the one on the right.

Like the low angle and the interaction. Wish the tail was not clipped.

Wonderful behavior and nice that you captured a highlight in the eyes of both birds. You low POV created a beautiful foreground of beach gradually fading to blues. These birds have such a cool punk hairdo .

Bill, there is lots to work with here. I would suggest a closer crop so it looks less like you cut off the tail and more like you meant to show the great interaction between the two birds.

    Excellent shot!!
I really like the interaction, lovely light, terrific shooting angle, and love the all the shells on the ground.
I think a tighter crop would also work great here.
    Well done.
