This was my first time seeing this bird and he even landed on my hand for some seeds. Very fun!

Really nice capture. The tones and detail in the bird a sweet and the BG nicely compliments him. I think if it were mine I may crop a little tighter on the top and left but works well as presented.

You captured the character of this perky little bird perfectly. I love the background and how it compliments bird.

Very nice pose that captures the essence of these little guys, my most common backyard species. Wonderful complimentary background, and good detail.

    Great details, BG and perch.
I realize it is level and the perch was leaning, but it gives me the impression it is not.
I think tilting it back a bit would make it look more comfortable to my eye.
    Just a thought.

Very nice composition with nice colors and tones. Pretty neat that your first encounter with this species turned out so well! Especially him eating off your hands, how neat!

Excellent image of the bird, for me f6.3 seems a little bit shallow at that magnification (I refer to the tail -a little soft, had it not been more or less parallel to the sensor it would not matter) would suggest considering f8 if the opportunity were to re-arise.

Sweet little bird, and nice detail, I guess I'm not clued up on what makes a good comp, but I'd suggest crop a bit more from the top to remove the lighter patches in the top corners

NIce simple image Gail. Good IQ and exposure. I think a slight crop from top and left but good as is too. A nice species for us northerners!

Cool looking bird and lovely light. BG is also good. I agree with the above comments about the large perch.
