Hi Jonathan. Great shot, I particularly like the wing patterns on this one. The comp bothers me a bit because the angle of the reed is angling diagonally away to the corner which the subject is facing and it feels a bit cramped up there. Just wondering if adding a bit to the top, providing you have it, and perhaps a sliver off the bottom would improve this already super image. That's my only nit otherwise well done :)

Hi Jon. What an interesting looking dragonfly! Good exposure to hold detail in the abdomen, I like the diagonal of the perch, and the background is excellent. Dave makes an interesting point about the comp - you might experiment with that a bit. You might consider brightening the face just a little - so that it doesn't blend in quite so much with the dark wing behind it. You might also try a bit more selective sharpening on the tip of the rear wing. Overall, this is a very nice image and a couple tweaks will make it shine!

Very nice Jonathan and those tweaks will definitely make this shine!!! Easy fix to an outstanding image.
