I was very lucky in my session with the rollers and I enjoyed about one hour and a half of continuous photography because the pair of rollers were very cooperative. I decide to try some flight, my fovourite kind of bird images, but I was not very happy with the BG (I have no choice for a different BG because I was at a permanet blind) because is very busy and very distracting for the AF module. I decided to try a manual exposure and prefocusing (with AF lock on) in front of the perch of the rollers and wait for the roller to flight and to have some luck. After several attempts I captured a decent image (considering that the situation it was not very easy for thei kind of images). Of course, I have a lot of images with amazing postures but... OOF :D.
Hope you like this one and feel free to write your critics I am interested in read what do you think about this one.:)

juan, you kill me with all these beautiful, colorful birds!!!! the bg is busy, but how can anything take away from such a colorful, standout bird?!! nice job in the difficult conditions. looks like you did well.

Juan, I like the colors on your bird, and the flight angle. But like Harold, I agree that the busy background does take away from your main subject...:( Suggestion; if you can perhaps tone down the BG colors or maybe blur it out more...:D

The sharpness and details are amazing, great looking bird. Good work. Love the wing position with the tips up.

The BG is the weakest element, you could do a gaussian blur easily to help smooth out the details.

    Hi Juan!

Very nice "in your face" flight image of a very beautiful, and colorful bird. Difficult situation with the hard light, but great that you were able to fill the frame, and focus with the busy background. I would see if I could tone down the background, and if it suits you, may even select & blur it some. Also if it suits you, I would consider cloning the bright branch in the upper right corner ... and then keep going and clone out all the bright areas on the left and lower left corner (with your green vegetation). Maybe slight desaturate? ... but I have never seen these! Congratulations on your favorite BIF!

Juan, as noted before, the background is hurting this wonderful image. I took the liberty of using Nik Color Effex 3.0 Vignette Blur filter, masking the wingtips. If it's OK with your ethics, it an alternative. Great pose and colors!
