    Perfect simplicity!
Bird and beach. Normally the sand on the bill would bother me, but here I like it. It fits with that thin strip of sand that is under the birds feet.

I like it too! The sandy bill and matching leg look neat. I like the angled slope of the beach, and the very nice BG. The eye looks dull though...there is a faint reflection along the top part of it that needs to be enhanced to bring more life to it.

Nice low shooting angle and the head turn is good enough. I wish to see some natural (or fill flash created) light in the eye.
You might have the natural light already there.
Some extra sharpening (of the eye only) and linear dodge might bring it out.

Very nice! The sandy bill is great here. I agree about bringing a bit more life to the eye, but otherwise stunning capture

Sorry I can't add much but my first reaction would be to try to brighten the eye a little, I think it would make a significant difference.

I like the shot! Nice low POV and good colour balane. The dirty beak does look interesting. The eyes can be dodged a bit to bring back some lighting in the eye.

    Hi,

I love the overall feel of the image, the colors, the sharpness and detail on the bird, the sand on the bill, and the clouds across the sky behind and the the R. of the bird. I feel that there is a bit too much oof sand at bottom left, but I don't know how you would remove it and still keep the same crop, which looks just right.

Excellent 'in their world' perspective. details look great. You nailed the subtle head turn.
