I have some better photos of the Hawks eating the prey, that I will probably post, but here is
    an unusual behavior photo.
Three hawks at the kill, the center one was eating it initially, the one on the right near the kill
moved in and ate it with the other one, and the third interloper flew in and disrupted them.
The hawk by the kill, quit eating and tried to look innocent I think.
This is not a great photo, I am posting it for general interest, I had to take off the TC and shoot with
just the 300 to fit them in the photo. I had 10 shots and this is the best one I could get for all three head angles.

A nice follow up to the previous post Dan, and yes an interesting story behind the behaviour here. I wonder if they are all family members?

Good story Dan, must have been a good sighting to witness. I am sure you got a few flight shot from this sighting, hope to see them.

Hi Dan, a great follow up from your previous post, and not bad getting two out three HA's. I do like the left over feathers from the kill lying all over the place.

Great behavior story and picture, Dan. They might have been siblings, that's why they tolerated each other somewhat better than usual.
The other reason could have been that the food source is good.
