I love photographing fire, you never what type of cool pattern may emerge. A couple of years ago I posted a campfire image of flames with a face in it:

This time, check ou the dollar $ign that appeared in our fireplace I have tons of cool flame patterns in my files, lots of fun during down times. Image is underexposed by about two stops to prevent major burning of the histogram (bad pun intended) and this also makes the fireplace wall black.

Cool image Daniel. You're getting me fired up to take some fire images.

    Daniel,
Was that a Canadian or US dollar sign?
I'm sure this will turn out to be a hot thread.

Smokinnnnnnn !...hehehehe...sorry had to join in

I also have a range of these shots while sitting around the campfire, some great effects possible as this shows.

I once seen a similar shot done by another photog that looked so much like an elegant lady dressed in a long gown smoking a cigarette from a long cigarrette holder...fascinating sometimes.
