These two girls were waiting for me to get done filling the bird feeders.
I waited until they were close to get them both in the shot and they lined
up one in front of the other. Cropped.
Used Canon 7D, 100-400 lens, ISO 640, lens at 100mm.

Hi Janet - your patience certainly paid off with the pose. Good sharpness despite such a slow ss. I would have probably gone for a bit more dof. Was this handheld or with a tripod?

Nice stacked portrait, good and sharp for the SS. Always interesting to me, it shows how different the faces of these deer can look.

    Rachel,
I handheld my camera resting it on the side of my house.
I was also happy with the sharpness at such a slow ss.
    Thanks for the comment

I think it is unique. A very nice dual portrait and I think the DOF was really good to get both sharp.
    Nice work.

    well seen and captured Janet
I am VERY suprised by the DOF here at f5.6 on the 100-400mm, having used that lens a lot in the past
I think a tighter crop is in order, focusing on only on the heads and the way they line up. I also think you can brighten this overall by about 2/3 of a stop.

Morkel, my exact thoughts overall, especially regarding the DOF. Although a tighter crop would certainly be better and give the image more presence, I'm not sure if the IQ is there.
