Was out trying to get an image of a Marsh Harrier but he wasnt playing ball:) but this little one turned up instead.....decided to leave in reeds on RHS to balance image and give it a bit of a subject in its environment feel.

Hi Peter The reeds on the far right look fine Seem to be in the same plane and work right into the image The two right behind the bird are more bothersome but do like the image as presented Having such a busy bg is still attractive

The birds has a great head angle and eye contact Alll well exposed and sharp Pose with wings up does add to the image !!! Would have a slight alternate cropping taking some from the back (little) and bottom Will tighten the image and place the little guy more on the lower left corner !!!

Agree with Alfred on the points he mentions.

Sharpness and exposure are good! Also I like the wing up position.

I find this a very good shot of a bird in its habitat, Peter, and a very good exposure taken at exactly the right moment. No nits fro me.
