    Default Painting with Light

This scene was a bit bland in the original image. Just trying different techniques for lighting effects. I used two custom Simplify presets, each overlayed in a different manner and opacity until I got the lighting I was after. It's pretty munch a trial and error kind of thing. I used Glowing Edges very lightly, and I then applied a very light layer of Oil Paint. The rest was curves work..........the result had an "orange peel" effect in some parts of the image, which I thought was different and left it in the image. Comments always welcome. Thanks for looking............OOps, I see here is a slight blueish tint on the right side fog. Need to edit that.

Extremely well done, Jay! Love the soft quality of light and the overall texture. Comp and leading lines (especially posts) draw me in.

Jay, This is fantastic. I wouldn't change a pixel, I'd hang it on my wall. The composition, fog, and filtering have come together perfectly!

I couldn't agree more. The lighting you have created is exquisite. Extremely well seen and composed. I'd also hang it on my wall in a second.

Jay, you are the "Light Master". The composition is perfect, the lighting is exquisite and I love the rich lighter colors contrasting with the dark trunks and fence posts. Beautiful!!

Absolutely. Great leading lines and composition. The blue tint on the right works well with the yellow and green. I wouldn't touch it. Or anything else. Nice work. No, great work.

I think this works really well! It is a stunning image. I like how the colors and details fade as one looks deeper into the scene. The image glows. Well done.
