Absolutely excellent I love the pose and the miniature landscape with the smooth water flow, I suspect this would do very well in a competition.

Hi Geir, Love the diagonal line of the rock, together with drinking behaviour. Lovely soft light with pastel colours, and the swirling water at the end of the rock takes this up a notch.

Excellent environmental image with the wave coming around the rock. Bird is well exposed for the whites. Wish you'd caught it with a little less head turn, but its still a keeper.

Nice composition, with swirling water and the rock angle; I think I'd like a bit more contrast.

I've spent a lot of time in Lightroom to try to get it right. It was very bad light. Greyish light with little contrast.

This is awesome! I love the water movement and the way it's glazed that rock...yummy stuff!
Head angle is A-okay imo, as the peep is foraging. Way to commit to the low angle. You really
put us in the sanderling's world here.

agree with Shawn's comments. well done getting low. The wet rock adds a lot here.

A tad bit room behind the bird might make it better.

Nice position on the rock and great tones. I would take a bit of the bottom and make the oof water strip a bit smaller. Would also remove the darker spot in the water.

Man this is cool!! Awesome swirl around the rock...fabulous! I'd trim away about 40% off the bottom row of water and I also agree with Clemens about the dark spot there too. All else looks great...very fluid image, lots to like!!

A very nice image, for all the reasons already mentioned, Geir. I especially love the glaze on the rock and the swirl around it.
