I am going to ask you to critique this for me - what about the background?

Sanjeev- I quite like the BG. It is more or less even-toned with a pleasing direction of stems and leaves from LR to UL. I like the balance of subject to BG in the image. The subject provides a nice splash of colour with good eye contact and action (eating).

Thanks Jeff and John, I posted this as the BG was uniform and of single tone and the Green Parakeet stood out from the BG and display some action by feeding on the wheat.
