    Things are picking up a bit here in So Cal. Two mornings ago I watched this couple dive together for shellfish. I thought the contrast in male-female looks was interesting. Images of successful dives showing a shellfish in the beak were not very good -- maybe next time. Cropped and adjusted in LR3.

    I think any shot with both sexes in the frame is cause for a pat on the back, rarely do I manage that composition, in particular with both looking forward to the camera.

    Rather like the water color, but I would like to see them just a little tighter in the frame, or at least crop more from the top of the image....sweet looking species, one we dont get here
