I love the subtle colors and the BG is awesome. I also like the diagonal perch. I am thinking the birds may need a tad more contrast or maybe blacks but since I have never seen these guys in real life let's see what others have say. Either way great shot!

    Gail:

Good comments from Nick. The BG is very nice, fun diagonal perch. Both heads look a bit soft to me.

Have you had a chance to fine tune your new lens yet?

    Cheers

This is an awesome interaction moment captured so well, Gail. It looks like that they have a conversation going on between them.
    Nice perch and beauty bacckground.

This is very nice. I like how you included the end of the plant.

I like the interaction, perch, composition, exposure, and BG. The sliver of seperation between the birds is perfect. Well done Gail!

The perch and comp are really nice.
I don't think they need more contrast, they look natural to me.
Nice to get them both sharp and in a nice pose.

Hi Gail, I like the diagonal strand of perch, and how you have left a bit of space at the end of it in the frame. I feel the placement of the two birds works as presented, but other options may work too. We have a good view of the reds on top of their heads, and I like the complimentary BG.

Quite lovely! The birds look to me just as they do in life.

Very pleasing interaction image, Gail. LensAlign is good FoCal is faster. I have both and the results were the same with both. However, FoCal was faster and took out the guesswork.

A very pleasing diagonal composition Gail - love the perch and the Redpolls hanging on. Looks like one is being told to go feed elsewhere!
