Captured this a few weeks ago at a local beach estuary. Not sure why she has some orange skin under the head. Maybe a birth defect.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. Appreciated.

A lovely sharp capture David, excellent lighting and the trailing droplets of water adds futher interest to this composition. The Mallard is so well potrayed against that soft, mottled BG. Nice one!

    Very nice
The IQ is great and I like the wing position and the trailing water droplets. Her head is turned ever so slightly towards us, which is nice.

Nice crop and nice position. Good BG. Water drops in the back add a lot. I think if it were mine I would tone down the bright behind his neck. TFS

Hi David, good flying posture with the down stroke of the wing, and really sharp where it counts. The trailing droplets takes this up a notch, and yes, your BG is superb. Well captured.

Great head turn, love the trailing water drops, and the BG is to die for. Well done.

You nailed this one! Sweet image.
I like that skin patch on the chin, it's interesting.

Love it well focused and super detail, lovely background. I like it as is but I would consider a tad less cropping, there appears to be strong reflection/slight burn out on the neck but it looks natural, a fine image.
