    Snow on the beak means that the winter is here.

    Canon EOS 1DMIV, Canon EF 600mm/4L IS II USM + EF 1.4x III
    1/2000 sec., f/7.1, ISO 800, Gitzo GT5541LS with Sachtler FSB 8.

    Interesting detail shot.
    The highlights above the eye are burned out. That should be easy to fix with software.

    Hi Frank,
    I am not sure about the composition of this image.
    I love the snow and the HA. IQ is good but the DOF falls off quite quickly on the head.
    I would like to see more of the blue (? )lesser coverts,

    Very nice portrait shot, Frank. The snow on the beak is a good addition. The IQ is great but unfortunately the head is not as sharp as the rest.
    Maybe one round extra sharpening applied to the head would work.

    Hi Frank, seems like you had too much glass - something we all wish we have at some time. The snow on the beak is different, it works, but agree, the DOF falls away too quickly.

    I like this lots. Just an extra round of sharpening for the face would be good (the shoulder looks sharper as posted), but I am OK with everything else here. Love the snow on the bill!
