Pulled??? You mean you pulled it by the tail Steve? Cool image, I love the pose, it's like he is ready to defend itsself with a strike. The low angle works very well, a bit more DOF on the snake would have been nice, but then the plant in the BG would maybe become a bit of a distraction.

I like the classic pose, the low viewing angle, the sharpness, and the low sun angle. I would wish for more of front-lit sun angle so less of the snakes body was in shade.

Very dramatic pose on the snake Steve. I'm going to say something I promised myself I wouldn't say in this forum.....here goes HAP (Head Angle Police for those of you not in the Avian forums).........since the side of the snake that is in the shadow isn't very visible......I wish the head was turned a little more to the right of the frame. I actually like the side lighting and the DOF chosen is also fine IMO........but since I wouldn't be hanging around too long for the head turn either,
    nicely done!

"Pulled" would include the use of a 5 ft monopod in this case. I guess scooped would have been a better term.

    Steve, Roman,
My defense for the sun angle will be that I never heard of HAP at this time and I just wanted to make sure the next pictures weren't of me with two fang marks on my face. :)
