    Default Pied Wagtail.

This pied wagtail was photographed in the last month. I have tried different compositions, but square look good for this pose.
Cropped for composition, sharpened and NR applied to BG.

    ISO: 800, 1/640 @ F: 5.6.Evaluating metering.
WB: Auto. HH. Canon: 550D, 400mm.

Thanks for viewing and appreciation. C & C are highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards.

I confess to not being overly fond of square crops, but I think you have chosen well on this one Satish, works quite well I think. Lovely shot, grea tperchon the rock and eye engaging the camera, both whites and blacks look very good, it's a lovely image and the only very ....very small C&C I could offer would be to mention there is a tiny bit of black halo around the top surface of the rock...but one has top look hard to see it

Well done Satish - this Wagtail looks very similar to our mudlark. Very nice pose, very sharp and excellent exposure for the white plumage. The rocky perch and soft BG all work well.

Thanks a lot Phil and John for the kind comments.
Yes there is black halo around the the rock, but honestly I do not know how it is there? I would like to more about it...how and when it occur?
Here is normal 1024 crop without NR to background.Would like to know your opinion about composition.

    Hi Satish,
I prefer the composition in pane #4.
Excellent IQ and eye level view.
    Nice light as well.
I must be blind because I don't see a black halo?
I might burn the lighter area above the head.

Satish, very nice image. I do like the repost a bit better. I agree with Gail and would consider burning the white portion above the head. Another alternative is to paint in (with a soft brush at <10% opacity) with a darker color from the background. I'm also curious about the black halo, as I don't think I see it.

Thanks a lot for your nice comments.Black line/ halo is probably created in the PP,because it is brownish in the RAW file.
BTW you are not at all blind, because very thin black line/halo near top surface of the rock( on the left side) is seen only when you enlarge the image.
I will take care of lighter area.

    Miguel,
    Thnaks for the comments.
    Regards

Satish, I like both compositions, but would lean slightly toward the square. Both work. Sharp and well exposed, in lovely light, sitting on a nice perch. I can see the black halo, but would never have noticed it if no one had mentioned it. Looking for tweaks to improve a very nice image, you might consider cloning out the white spot at the lower left corner of the rock.

Both images look equally as good I think Satish, but if I had to choose then probably the second wider aspect.....but then ask me again tomorrow and I'm likely to change my mind hehehe.
I really cant see anything to alter on this fine shot { even the tiny halo is acceptable }...the light and brightness of the whites and blacks is perfect, very natural. Must say I'm very impressed by your use of high ISO settings too

Hi Satish, lovely exposure, IQ and perfect pose. Comp-wise, your repost gets my vote.
Minor nit - wish the bg was an even green.

I like the repost better than the square crop.
    Nice looking bird.

Wonderful shot of this handsome bird. Exposed very well and lots of detail in both the blacks and whites. Nice pose and perch. Wish for a better uniform BG. Well done.
