    Default Lotus Cutaway

I had processed this before with Nik Color Efex and possibly Topaz Adjust and applied a texture. I used Topaz Simplify on the lotus and then selected and placed it on a layer and blurred and desaturated the background layer to remove some detail and added a slight vignette.

This is a colorful graphic, with the details reduced mostly to colors and shapes. The flat top of the center flower part really grabs your attention. I like how that part is centered over the straight stem and then the petals and anthers spread out and add curved lines.

Thanks Nancy! The original capture is one of my all-time favorite photos and fun to play with.

Judy, I like the graphic look and love the greens and pinks and the curves. Nicely done

Judy, this has a nice sketched look to it, and the background just sets it off so nicely. Great having a peak into the center of the Lotus! Lovely!

It is great when one can use one image in different ways. Lovely base image. I really like the processing--simplifying the shapes. The BG you chose works well and is just right to set off the pink. I especially like the graphic quality here.
