This is right around the corner from the other cornfield. Right past this point there was a field that looked like the Serengeti Plains with some more of these rather stark trees. I used Pixel Bender Oil Paint on this one to keep it simple.

Cheryl, they keep getting better and better. And that's after starting with something really good. This is wonderful. The blues and browns are perfect together, the sky is incredible, and I love the curving road and fence. If it were mine, I'd crop some from the bottom to move the horizon line farther from the center, but it's great as is.

I agree with Dennis' comments on the colors and the great composition elements. I think the crop is perfect though. The fence shadow adds to it I think.

Cheryl, I know right where this is and all I did was park my car there. I never saw the beauty that you captured. Beautiful lines and colors. I like how the pattern in the sky is so similar to the pattern in the dirt, adding to the composition. With these patterns in mind, I would be tempted to crop out the road on the left side completely and start that side from the curved line of the parking area.

Love the sky and foreground textures and coloring. Great framing, Cheryl. I might do a CW rotation just a fraction. Of, course that might be an illusion coming from the lines of the hills in the BG.

Beautiful work. I like how the texture in the sky is mirrored on the ground. Soft colors and soft curves--go well together. I like the current crop, but a crop off the bottom would be OK also. Excellent composition.
