    Default Double-crested Cormorant Portrait

Among the larger Florida birds, the cormorant is one of my favorites for portraits. This image was captured at Anhinga Trail last February. Processing was easy--RAW conversion, just a touch of tonal contrast, a slight crop, and selective sharpening. C & C always appreciated.

Hi Mike, well, you certainly nailed the exposure, and love all the finer plumage detail, and the eye is stunning. I do like the curved neck, and just enough space all round. I would maybe give this a touch more contrast.

Mike - wonderful portrait. A little more contrast couldn't hurt, but it's stunning as-is too.

Excellent portrait! The plain green bkgd really sets off the wonderful colors and sharp details of the head. The curve of the neck makes a fantastic composition.

Outstanding in all aspects...the color, especially of the eye and that great pose.
    As crisp as they come!
