    Default Emerald Dove.

    Attached Images Attached Images

I spent the last weekend at Ganesh Gudi,a birding place in South India, about 450kms from Pune.
Many birds’ species visits water earthen pot for drinking water and taking bath. This Emerald dove was imaged in the evening in very low light.
Removed the blue and purple color cast, darken the BG, NR applied and brighten the bird.

    ISO: 3200, 1/250 @ F: 5.6.Evaluating metering. Exposure bias: +0.7.Used tripod, but don’t remember which one.
WB: Auto. HH. Canon: 550D, 400mm.

Thanks for viewing and appreciation. C & C are highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards.

Nice looking bird and well captured. Exposed well and nice feather detail. Not a natural perch but still works for me. Well done

That's one very smart dove Satish - vey colourful, almost looks like a clay ornament! You did a pretty good job with NR and your composition here works well.

What a handsome dove! Way to push the iso and still get great results.

Hi Satish, a dove I havent seen before, and a very colourful one too. Perfect pose parallel to the camera, although a slight head turn towards you would have worked, but you knew that. I feel the BG colours clash with the green of the wing, but the BG is separated far enough away to work as presented.

A beautiful bird, and one that I've not seen before. Such incredible color! Sharpness could be better; perhaps a bit of motion blur due to the slow shutter speed. But you didn't have much light at ISO 3200 and only 1/250.

IQ looks great for such a high ISO.
I see a bit of softness in the head.
Thanks for showing us this beautiful dove,
    Gail

Cool looking dove! the green back is so nice as is the orange beak. Nice details despite the high ISO .

The IQ for that high ISO is stunning . I know shooting at Ganeshgudi has its own set of problems with the light , but you have done wonderfully !!
