Default 5D III HDR Vivid Gone Wild

I have been loving the vibrant colors produced by the in-camera HDR feature of the Canon EOS-5D Mark III and have lots of fun while doing so. My favorite is Art Vivid. Denise prefers Natural most of the time. nce in a while, Art Vivid goes funky nuts. As here.

    White Sands.

On a tripod with mirror lock and 2-second self timer.... ISO 400. +/- 3 stops HDR around +1 stop in Manual mode: 1.6 seconds sat f/13.

Don't be shy; all comments welcome.

    Very Cool, Artie.
Love the color banding and the blue sands and their texture is wonderful. I might clone out the sprig of grass in the LLC.
I'd love to see more of these.

Artie, I love the bands of color - it's funky and I like it Ditto on edge clean-up.

Thanks Steve. I saw that and then forgot to get it. And the blob just to its right. I did not see that one.... Will post some less funky ones that are still funky :).

I love the color of the sand and the texture of the sand. The sky and mountain look great too. The funky white things are growing on me :)

I love the bands of colors and the graphic lines of the mountain and foreground. And I really like the placement of the bush and yuccas, especially with their tall center stems, but would prefer something less distracting than the grayish centers.

Overall composition, layered colors and textures are great. Agree with Nancy that the gray centers in the vegetation is a bit distracting.

I like the vivid colors and the flat look. Wow! I like everything about it except for the vegetation--wish it were all one color in different shades. Looking forward to more.
