Hi Jeff, great looking image with nice details and a very clean bg that compliments the blue jay nicely. I think it's a tad too much sharpening, and I could see a version with the jay a little lighter.
I'm pretty sure I recognize that rock. These guys love their peanut handouts there!! Good pose from the jay with a nice HA. The BG looks nice, but being so bright I feel that some fill-flash would have been good for the subject.
Love the head angle, the sharpness, the BKGR, and the tail raised enough to clear the rock. Count me in for the bird being a bit over-sharpened.

Beautiful portrait of this blue jay, Jeff, with a lovely background that really makes the bird pop. I could see a little more room behind the tail.
Everyone has covered everything, but I'd like to put in a vote for more room on the right!
A beautiful capture of a beautiful bird Jeff, and well portrayed against that lovely soft BG. The rock perch works well for me but I would like to see a tad more canvas on the RHS.
Thanks for the comments all. I will cut back on the sharpening and try a different crop. Thanks again.
Beautiful bird. Nice eye level, side profile image of the species.
Yes to more room on the right, and a great idea from Daniel considering
balancing the light with flashwork at the time of capture.
Beautiful bird, lovely colors, nice details and clean background.Love it.
Regards,
Satish.
