Another rainy dreary day at Cades Cove. I tried to keep the lighting consistent with the mood of the day. I didn't like some aspects of Simplify processing, so I re-processed the image in Topaz Adjust with emphasis on details, and overlayed it onto the Simplify image in Photoshop. I used on overlay mode of Soft Light at 60% opacity. This gave me the most desirable apects of both Simplify and Adjust. Very similar in processing to adding textures. Cloned out a FG plant, used a reverse S-curve to even out the shadows and highlights and that was it.
Interesting motion aspect, that the rim of the water wheel is rotating the same rate (revolutions) as the center axle but the amount the speed/distance covered (motion blur) of the rim is much faster (I'm not sure how to atriculate this in engineering terms). Anyway, I got lucky, a faster shutter speed, might have frozen the axle movement and allowed blur in the rim.........might have looked strange.
Hope you like..........Comments are most welcome.
