I kind of like the two tones BG, like the perch, and think the detail in the bird is okay. Very nice looking bird! May crop a sliver off the right side but nice overall image. Wet, windy, dull..a beautiful morning??? hmm....

Wonderful light here really helps show all the details in the feather. great shot. Curious, what's the bg in this image?

Beautiful bird and I enjoy the early morning light.
I think the image would be stronger without such a contrasting split bg. Curious if you tried moving to your left at all
to get the bird against the delicious colors you have going on in the right hand side of the bg?
The perch has some great character with the lichen bits. If the perch was set up, it might be just a bit too substantial
for this small bird, particularly bulky looking on the left edge of the frame.

The bird looks really sharp with a lot of details, exposure on black and white look really good too. Nice work on the cloning.
For this image I prefer not to have two big different in tone in the background.

I like the light and pose, sharp. IMO the two-tone BG hurts this image more than it helps it. TFS

That's a sweet little bird Chris perched on an attractive piece of lichen. You managed very well considering the weather conditions presented to you! I'm in two minds regarding the split tones of the BG. Some posterization noted.

Excellent image.Sweet bird with nice colors and details.I like morning lights, interesting perch, nice BG too.
Would crop on top and bottom to reduce the impact of dark BG.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Thankyou everybody for looking and your comments,Miguel, the BG is a wood, the dark part is a oak tree, and the light part isa opening in the wood,Shawn,I could not move to my left without disturbing the bird,it did not stop long anyway, what I was saying about the weather, the day before I took this image, the day before was wet and windy, then the next day,the day I took this image, was a beautiful clear and sunny day,but cold.thanks again for looking.

Cool shot. Love the BG and the bird is exposed well and full of detail. Nice perch too.
