    Default Late Fall Loon-scape v2.0

Here is the other image I mentioned posting on the first loon-scape thread. Individually I am not sure which I like best (I flip-flop on that lots), but I do know that as a pair they make a nice side-by-side duo. I like the very faint trees in the BG. This one was taken 8 minutes after the other.

Canon 7D + 100-400L @400mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, slight rotation and corners cropped off (95% FF).

I like this one better, I like more fog and I like the angle of the Loon better.

    Daniel:

I prefer this one as well. I like the balance of the small, closer, more distinct bird vs. the more distant , less sharp trees. Works for me.

    Cheers

Love this one. The single loon makes for a great mood. The fog and oof tree put it over the top. Bet it would make a great large print.????

This is beautiful. Both images are equally successfull imo. I like the sense of depth you achieved here with the softly defined far background trees.

    Beautiful image.
Love the calm mood and the fog. Excellent comp, love the lighting, and colors.
I had to go look at the other shot and I really like this shot more.
    Very well done.

I didn't see the first one, but this one pushes all the right buttons for me! I like the placement of the bird low in the frame, and there's a perfect amount of habitat at the top and right of the frame. Well done!

This is a beauty Daniel. The mood and the design are just lovely. I'll go look for loon-scape v1.0 now :)
