    Default Water Reflections

One afternoon during the IPT we went to a pond at the New Mexico Institute of Mining & Technology to take pictures of ducks (including America Wigeons), and geese who are enamoured by handouts and make great subjects. Denise and I were also shooting the beautiful reflections in the water. This is a 3-image in camera HDR. I loved the colors and the flow - the essence of the water that day.

Oops, the first one is the original. I meant to post this one that has a very slight Nik Sunlight filter on it - it's brighter but the original is probably closer to what we were seeing.

Cheryl, both are mesmerizing! The impression of a soft blur and movement adds a neat dynamic.

I like that the Nik filter brings out highlights of bright gold and I love the contrast of the deep blue that starts on the right side just below the middle and stretches somewhat diagonally down for what looks like 3 "pools".

All the colors work well together, and I like the transition from mostly brown to mostly yellow/gold. If it were flipped horizontally, I think the colors and the diagonals would be more effective.

Cheryl, nice flow to the image. The blue reflections make this work so well.

Lovely simplicity. I like the second post, with the brighter golds. Lovely work.
