Shot on tripod from blind in my backyard. I was near the minimum focus distance for my setup. She was staging for a feeder just below and to the left. Bright sunshine at about 11:00 and directly behind me. I think next time I will decrease the aperture for a little more dept of field to try to get the tail and the near leaf bud to be in focus.

Thanks for looking and for comments

Joe, beautiful shot. I like the pose and background. For some reason the piece of branch on the lower left is just distracting. Its weird shape keeps catching my eye.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hi Joe you did pretty well here. I don't think any amount of stopping down will get the tail in focus !!!! Would try setting up a little different for a more uniform bg The one bright spot middle bottom detracts from the fine image

Good placement and exposure. Excellent head angle and sharpness. If you are in a blind would suggest working on perches Will make a huge difference !!!!

Nice alert pose you've captured. I have to agree with Sid on that little twig piece.

I like the alert expression and the nice colors. Nice sharpness as well. The twig on the right doesn't other me.

I like the alert pose and plumage detail.
