    Here is another image of a juvi Greater Flamingo taken last weekend. It was overcast at the time, and would love to go back again once the weather here opens up.

    Canon 1D Mark IV
    100-400 @ 370mm
    1/2000
    F/7.1
    ISO 800

    Manual Exposure
    Hand held from a hide

    Wonderful IQ Stuart and a great pose captured as the flamingo withdraws its head from the water, the cascading droplets from the bill add a hint of action. I also like the excellent exposure of the white plumage - the overcast sky was kind to you!

    Great job on the exposure and as John mentioned, the overcast conditions were favorable. Detail is very sharp and I love the scales on the legs. The water falling from the mouth is cool too. Another nice frame Stuart.

    Looks great Stu. I think the overcast light is best with all those whites.
    The water droplets really add.
    Great POV and IQ and I love the markings on the legs-never noticed those before,

    Very nice composition, the crop is perfect, the IQ is beautiful. The eye is tack sharp. Sweet image.
