    There was such a flood of postings of this species over the past few weeks that I held off on this one until now. Hope you're not tired of seeing them.

    D7000, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 640, 1/400s @ f/7.1 manual, fill @ -2.3 EV, tripod

    I love watching these guys at my feeders so no nuthatch overload here. Great pose, perch and BG. Exposure looked a tad bright at first but that may just be my screen angle. Cheers.

    Very sweet shot of this cute bird. I like the interesting perch and clean background. Nice and sharp, but the feathers on the back look, to me, to be a wee bit crunchy.

    Nice image Bill. I love that perch. Lots of great detail. Also, great job on the flash. I wouldn't have known unless you mentioned it.

    I never tire of seeing this Nuthatch Bill, its such a photogenic species, and the composition here is second to none..!! A beautiful image.

    Hi Bill, lovely pose with the bill in line with the perch, and you have brought out the finer plumage detail nicely, together with the colours. Sharp for 1/400, and what a lovely smooth BG.
