    Default King Penguins

I really liked how the penguin on the left seems a bit lost and behind..."hey, wait for me"! I greatly cropped the original image and used Nik Silver Efex to convert to b&w, then I reduced the effect some and took the image into Topaz Simplify, buz sim, again reducing the effect. Then a few of the usual PS tools. I was lucky that none of the heads merged too much and that the bill can be seen on all of them.

Love the line you isolated with the crop, Nancy. The few that are taking steps adds so much to the dynamics. Beautiful fine art processing.

The image is nicely composed -- both in terms of the vertical position of the line of penguins and the horizontal position of the one closest to the foreground. It's wonderful, anyway, but that penguin on the left elevates it several more notches.

Hi Nancy, I love the image but was wondering if color is allowed in a black and white theme?

Thank you all! Is this a B&W theme? I thought it was simply "simplicity".

I thought the theme was simplicity also. This is great. It has humor, lots of interest, simplicity, reality, a graphic quality. Wouldn't this look great on a wall?

This is perfect for the theme Nancy! I love the pano crop and line of penguins has a nice flow. The little guy at the end puts it over the top! I like how all of their bills show.

Anita, I'll have to look into having this made into a print. Good idea! Judy, that little guy does steal the show . Thank you both for the compliments.

That last little guy is definitely the icing, and the few looking the other way. Love it! Worthy of a print.
