    Default Red-fronted Macaw (Bolivia)

    Hi everyone,

I just got back from a month in Bolivia. What a great trip! With over 1500 species of birds Bolivia has a lot to chase after. I'll have quite a few to post over the upcoming few weeks but I thought I would start with this beautiful Red-fronted Macaw which is endemic to Bolivia.

This shot was taken from atop a cliff. The BG is a river far below.

    All the best!

    Glenn

Very nice image Glenn! The thumbnail drew me right in. I would love to see a 1024px wide version if you don't mind posting!

A great photo opportunity looking down on the flying Macaw Glenn. Stunning colour combination and nicely depicted against the OOF river.

You had me at the thumbnail-lol. Love the pose, background, colors...just wish I could see a larger version as mentioned above. The full resolution version must really be a stunner.

Well done.... That must have been a muddy river to give you that background color.

Exactly James. A muddy river about 200 feet below. I have some on nice green BG's as well. But I just like how the bird pops on this one...

Glenn, beautiful image, the background really makes this bird pop. Be careful on those cliffs, don't fall off !!
    Nicely done.
