    Default Bosque Woods

I'm back from the Bosque IPT and although the sunsets/sunrises and blurs are iconic I thought I'd start out with an image I took in the opposite direction This was the scene opposite one of the pools and the lighting was so beautiful I took many images of the woods. This is a 3 image HDR (+3EV, Art Vivid) with a touch of Topaz Simplify Buz Sim. I had a great time and will spend some time catching up on everyone's images now.
    Thanks for looking.

That is a striking scene with the strong blue and orange colors. I like your processing, with the right touch of Simplify.

This is a winner on several fronts. The composition is wonderful. It could hardly be better if you'd been able to arrange the elements the way you wanted. The flow of the arching tree, the leaves, and the bush -- all on the left -- to the other three trees is great. Not only that, but the arch frames the rest of the image so well. Then, there's the vertical tree and the large bush on the right. The grasses along the bottom add a lot to the image.

I like the contrast of the warm and cool colors, too. That's a big part of the magic. I'd back the blue off just a bit with a warming filter in a Photo Filter adjustment layer, but it's beautiful just the way it is.

Chery, I really like the layers of colors. Nice work on Simplify, showing strong detail without clutter. Excellent processing..well seen.

Hi Cheryl, glad you got to make it to Bosque - sorry the timing didn't work out to meet up. I'm glad to see you posting landscapes from the refuge, it really is hard to know where to point the camera next! Love the colors and textures and agree on taming the blues a bit. Looking forward to more of your visions of Bosque.

Hi, Kerry, thanks for the comments. I'm sorry I missed you too. Next year I may go a little earlier to get more of the fall color. (Or later to get some snow?).

Cheryl, You did a great job showing everyone in the group these creative shots. Love the colors and the light-well done. It was great spending time in Bosque, we need to do it again!
