    Default Abstract Swans in flight

I photographed Tundra Swans last weekend in Northern California and am having fun playing with the resulting images! For this piece, I used "extrude" and then "liquify". C&C welcome. OOPs, forgot, I used Fractalius on this before the liquify filter.

I like that you did this using the Photoshop filters instead of plug-ins. There's a lot of creative material there. I like the colors and composition can't help wondering how it would look if it weren't quite so abstract (a personal preference thing).

Thanks, Dennis. Actually I forgot that I did use fractalius in there somewhere

Very cool work, I can see all seven. Nice effects and solid abstract work. The two on the top left would stand well on their own...TFS

Great abstract. I really like the elongated, bending necks and how the bkgd lines seem to radiate from the swans and wrap around them. For me this depicts the graceful yet dynamic flight of the swans. It's as if we can see the air currents as they powerfully fly through it. It is so hard to control this, but wish the necks of the center swans were a bit more distinct like the upper and lower swans.

Dan, great abstract. I especially like the flow of the top 2 and bottom 2 swans. I agree with Nancy about being able to visualize the air currents.

The title is perfect for this image. I think you did an outstanding job with creating an abstract that keeps the feel of the birds flying through the air--keeps it and accentuates it. Well done. Love the colors. I wonder what it would look like if you took out the two middle birds and moved the top and bottom birds a smidgen closer together before doing the wonderful processing. Creative and fun!

Unique abstract Dan. Love the colors and the twirl.
