    Default South Georgia Wandering Albatross

mostly we had storm petrels and giant petrels off the back of the ship as we sailed around South Georgia Island (we actually circumnavigated the island twice) but a few other birds also showed up from time to time - especially 2 or 3 wandering albatrosses that tended to stay far back from the ship. This one has only the tiniest start of the peach marking at the neck and the wings are dark - which i think means its young .

contrast added in LR, a little canvas added above and bird moved back slightly in PS - nik tonal contrast and detail extractor, nik sharpener on bird, background saturation increased and blurred slightly.

These are stunning sea-birds Pat and you have achieved a nice sharp image here. A little more canvas top and bottom would work for me and the image does appear a little bright on my monitor.

Nice view of this magnificent species, with great detail on the near wing. Comp works OK for me, but I agree it seems a tad bright on my screen.

Great view of the near wing, with lots of good details. I like the pink bill too! I agree with John's critique.

Pat, very nice image. Love the left wing position and the overall composition. Just a tad bit more room on the top and left would be great, as suggested by others. Feel free to repost with a revised image if you want :)
