    Guess he saw me!

    Circling over the patio; changing direction and changing the light position

    burned the wing a bit. At first thought it might be a short toed eagle but no its Mr Buzzard.

    Nice overhead flight image, bird pops nicely against the sky.
    Noticing a slight halo (around the bird's right hand side primaries in particular).
    Also looks like you could have gone with a bit faster shutter speed, as the highlights
    on the bird look blown on the left hand side...The increased ss might have yielded even
    sharper results....If the bird was circling, this is definitely a scenario where you would
    have been wanting to quickly check for blinking highlights or feedback from a histogram,
    then adjust on the fly (pun intended)...

    I like the banking pose an eye contact but the shadow, small size of the bird in the frame and lack of feather details work against you here. You have to wait until he gets closer to you, maybe a blind would help?
