I shot this one with my new 400 f5.6 L. It is the third copy that lens I have had so far and it feels like I met an old friend again that I lost for a while.
Sorry, I won't be participating for about ten days as I won't have access to my desktop.

Hi Karl. Another nice one. I really like the wing detail as well as the feet and tail. A better angle would have made this really special.

You are truly capitalizing on your time with this hawk. Lovely wing position.
I prefer your other flight shots because the HA is not ideal.
I would blend the 2 OOF brown branches in front of the hawk,

Great wing position. If he had only turned his head...

    Karl:

Wing extension, details are great, and yes, would have been nice to have a better angle. I think you owe this bird a few mice!

    Cheers

I think this might be your sharpest flight shot but the obvious HA makes it less appealing than one with a better angle. Still a great flight shot and love the detail and the comp. Well done

Hi Karl, good view of the near wing and curled primaries, and nicely separated from the BG. I agree, blending in some of the bits of BG wont harm the image. Still, well captured in flight.

    Very nice shot.
Love the background and the wing position. Great feather detail.
Head angle is not ideal, but still a terrific shot.
    Well done.
