I had created this picture last fall but it stayed in my processing inbox up to recently... Here a question: Should I remove the out of focus branch in the background? To me it give a sens of deep to the picture...

    Thanks for looking!

Wonderful. Great job on the yellows! I would clone out the stuff in the top....

Everything else in the photo is a winner , exposure, comp, bg and sharpness are first ratee. but that branch brings it down, remove it.

I vote for the branch, with possibly a small crop from the top just leaving the diagonal portion... IAC, the image is very sharp and I love the perch (did you set it up?). The whole thing is a bit dark. Great head position.

Very nice as presented, great detail and sharpness. If it's OK with your ethics, I'd loose the upper right distraction.

The Goldfinch is stunning, if you want to keep the brach for depth I would crop from the top so it's just in the right hand corner.

Very nice, Francis. Love the look and the shot is nice and sharp. I took the liberty to clone the branch out and add some flash. Hope you don't mind my tinkering. What do you think?
