    Sanjeev, where was the light in this image and what do you think I will say about it? Why no flash when you have one on your camera? Was this bird captive? Sorry for all the questions, but inquiring minds want to know...

    Hi Kerry, As I mentioned at the bottom of the post, it was a captive hawk. I should have used flash, but I always forget one exists on my cam! :-) The light was from extreme right side and from the top at the falconry.

    Hi Sanjeev, sorry I didn't read all of the information - my bad! I know what you mean about forgetting to use the flash, but it is essential to think about putting light where it is needed and the on-board flash is free light when you need it. I think that would have made this image much stronger, as much of the face and neck are in shadow. It is a nice capture, and I might crop some from the right.
