Exposure is perfect, and the wings nicely frozen. Neat green smooth BG too...was it an artificial one? I'd have preferred the subject lower in the frame, and the front wing not obstructing the body (love the far wing!!..and I know, I can't have it both ways!)
Lovely.
Agree with Daniel's comments.
Nice IQ as well,
Gail
Nice background, sharp where it counts and the exposure is spot on, Gary.
Thanks for your comments. Yes, Daniel, it is an artificial background. We rotated several different versions for different looks. I found a very similar image with a virtually identical wing position but the front wing is sharper and it seems to cover less of the body. I'll "re-post" that one with the suggested crop for comparison.
Oops, I forgot to clone out the extra catchlights, but who is counting? LOL
Both are great Gary. Really nice IQ. Yes, don't forget the eye catch removal! I actually like that classic woodstar posture in the OP better but the comp and purple throat of the repost really look good. I would favour a background that is not quite so even.
Gary,
I love the repost, both are great but the second has a better magenta throat and a better angle on the front wing. Glad you found the time to start posting these. Will be waiting for more.
