    Default Greater Flamingo - Juvi

I went to a location that I last visited about 2 years ago. I was told there were Flamingo's there, and I wasnt disappointed. At first, they were quite far away, but slowly some of them waded closer. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of rain, and the morning was mainly overcast.

    Very nice shot.
I really like the ruffled up feathers, nice details, love the water drip, great comp, and I really like how the way its positioned makes it seem like its neck is seperated from it's body.
    Very well done.

I like how the neck is separate from the body, makes it look like a serpent. The overcast day helped this shot by creating a nice even light on the soft subject. Tons of detail due to no shadows and exposed well. The water drop is a nice touch. Great work.

This is awesome Stuart! Like the others I really dig the neck separation form the body, very cool. Techs, sharpness, processing all there.

Very nice shot, Stuart. I love seeing the feather details. The pose is a bit unusual as the neck is not attached to the body in the picture, but unusual is good.

Very nice with the water dripping off the beak, the nice detail and sharpness and the way it is looking at you. Water is pretty deep there, that is why the "neck isn't attached to the body"; I guess it was swimming more than walking. Now, someone might say to add some space to the virtual legs, but as we know the flamingo's legs are longer than it's body. It would be a funny composition.
    Well done, Stuart.

    Hi Stuart,
    This is really cool.
I, as everyone else, like the way the neck seems separated from the body!
Excellent IQ and I love the water drop that is melding into the water.
    Perfect HA,
    Gail

A very odd and cool looking photo, Stuart.
The separation really makes it unique.

    Stuart:

One more in the missing neck column! First thing that jumped out at me, before reading anyones comments.

Sharp, well exposed, unique. Makes me think of "Alice in Wonderland"

    Cheers

I like how the neck is separate from the body and how the body is partially submerged like a duck. Fine job.
