These guys will twist and turn in every way imaginable to get to berries. This one seems to have gone a bit overboard for what appears to be an easy to reach berry, but oh well, it made for a fun photo! I keot the ISO relatively high even in good light and glad I did as they can twist in pretty fast movements!

    Daniel:
Look like he is going for style points!

Nicely exposed, good BG, good timing.

Might be fun to do a little pruning of non essential twigs, like the one i the middle of his tail, and perhaps the one in front arching up towards his breast.

    Cheers

What a hysterical pose, Daniel. I am not much on "pruning," but agree with Randy on the twig in the middle of the tail.

    Fantastic composition!
Love the pose and lucky you to shoot this action eye level with such a nice warm bg...
Everything "flows" nicely here, so I see no reason to prune anything. Looks like a young
bird as the wax on the wings has not come in yet...

    This one made me smile!
    Love the pose.
    Well done,
    Gail
Another vote for a bit of pruning but not a deal breaker for me.

This pose is so different and so cool. Agree that pruning would improve this but just a "fun" image as you pointed out. TFS

Great pose captured against pleasing complimentary background, Daniel. If you ar OK with cloning, I would clone out the granch being too close to the breast of the bird.

Amazing shot, Daniel. what a pose. loved the sharp bird and the fact that we can see in the eye in this pose.
